"Spiralex" True Spiral Planning Heads
Available for rough or finish cutting on molders, shapers, tenoners, planers etc.
Design:
Experience extremely quiet cutting action using Spiralex cutterheads.
Manufactured using light-weight aircraft aluminum bodies.
Uniquely designed knife location. Holds knife securely on 3 sides preventing the slightest movement.

Royce//Ayr Custom Insert Cutters can be manufactured with steel bodies or light weight aircraft aluminum. Only premium carbide grades are use and can me matched specifically to wood species or type of material. All tools are dynamically balanced and verified for concentricity to ensure accuracy and optimum performance.
Aluminum tool bodies provide a weight advantage without sacrificing performance or durability. Royce//Ayr is experienced and qualified to manufacture cutters for modern high RPM/feed rate machinery.

Royce//Ayr has the capabilities to manufacture custom straight or profiled cutters for any machine on the market. With straight, coned or hydro bores. Tipped with Tungstun carbide or Jonalloy tips depending on the material to be cut.
Each tool is designed by our engineers to match your wood sample or drawing. They will design the optimum cutting geometry for each particular tool and produce a CAD/CAM program for our manufacturing process. Each tool is tested and dynamically balanced before it leaves our plant. We guarantee satisfactory results.
