We will design the optimum cutting geometry for each particular tool and produce a CAD/CAM program for our manufacturing process. ROYCE//AYR uses ETP HYDRO-GRIP for all Hydro Sleeve requirements. |

| ETP HYDRO-GRIP consists of two hardened steel sleeves with an intermediate layer of grease as a pressure medium. Depending on the design, the sleeves expand towards the spindle or towards the spindle and the tool. In this way, the tool is automatically centered and solidly held in place. |
| |
|
| |
| With all mechanical clamping systems, eccentricity between spindle and tools is rarely less than 0.002" (0.04 mm). This kind of eccentricity results in a poor finish of the work piece and uneven tool wear - particularly at high feed rates. |
| |
|
| |
| ETP HYDRO-GRIP solves this problem by reducing the eccentricity to as little as 0.0005" (0.012 mm). When all the knives are cutting this evenly the machine can be run much faster without any deterioration of the surface finish. |
